The\u00a02018\u00a0 DaanUtsav\u00a0Internship programme\u00a0is an opportunity for young professionals to create significant social change.<\/p>\n

About\u00a0DaanUtsav<\/strong><\/h3>\n

DaanUtsav, earlier called Joy of Giving Week (JGW), is India\u2019s very own festival of giving. It aims to spread love, joy and happiness among those who are less fortunate than us, and for each one of us to experience the joy in giving. DaanUtsav\u00a0is celebrated for a week starting Gandhi Jayanti (Oct 2-8) every year, and was launched in 2009.<\/p>\n

From celebrities and CEOs, to auto drivers and maids, school and college students to village communities, millions of people participate in the festival ever year in various ways- from organizing large fundraisers that raise lacs and crores, to reading out stories to children, making and distributing sandwiches on the street, to organizing\u00a0donation, collection and volunteering drives, the festival sees participation from hundreds of corporates, schools, colleges, NGOs, apartments, villages and community groups across India.<\/p>\n

DaanUtsav\u00a02018\u00a0will be celebrated from October 2-8, 2018 across India.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Internship details<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The internship period is 3-6\u00a0months<\/strong>, and requires full-time<\/strong> commitment<\/strong> from\u00a0May\/June\/July \u00a02018 – Oct 15, 2018.<\/p>\n

The duration will depend on the city\/location. Each intern is\u00a0assigned a local coordinator, who is a\u00a0DaanUtsav\u00a0volunteer himself\/herself, and will\u00a0work from the offices of\u00a0the Coordinator\u2019s organization, or in a local nonprofit organization.<\/p>\n
